June 26-July 2

The official good bye to our big, gray house.  We had 13 months to love on this place and we will miss it.  It was really just the perfect home for us.  Never-the-less, we are thankful for God's provision of a new family for this home and how quickly we were able to close this chapter as we prepare for the next one.
Lots of fun had by these guys down at the creek finding all sorts of fun creatures.

Came across August, sitting at the counter, watching the news, and devouring a bag of grapes.
Cello lessons!
 Heading to a wedding selfie.
Snuggles with baby cousin Charlie--Bella loves her babies. ;o)

Just a busy, busy moving week.
Our stuff is in storage and we have moved in with Josh's parents.
Official status: In transition . . .
(oh the ellipses, pregnant with such possibility)  ;o)

June 12-18

First full official swim of the summer for all the kids! We are late this year!
My littlest boy.
While the brothers play ball, this one climbs the tank.
Sprinkler time for my happy hostas and boys.
(So sad to leave these hostas behind . . .). :o(
Celebrated a 16th anniversary and in true documenting fashion forgot a picture of us all spiffed up for a hot date in Columbus. ;o)
The main reason this week is shy of pictures . . .
Packing is picking up.
I might kind of hate moving.

June 5-11

 Vacation Recovery--
We always start out well, with our homemade meals and lots of fresh fruit, but by the end we might be hitting the McDonald's drive-through a few too many times. ;o)  These boys were all about getting caught up on grapes and watermelon.
Trimming up some tree branches for the next residents of our home.
Getting a family game night in before we pack everything away.
Baseball--was amused to watch the great time Emmett has in the dug-out socializing.
This girl was ready for a change and chopped about a foot of hair off.
Toads--always a happy discovery for a boy.
The swing out back with its patch of worn out grass and one proud little 2 year old.

First glimpse of the ocean--Huntington Beach State Park, SC.
Beach day!!
Exploring more of beautiful South Carolina with Josh's aunt and uncle.
Traveling day as we head back through the Smokies and into Kentucky.
Mammoth Cave National Park in the morning, St. Louis by evening so Josh and the boys can catch a Cards game.
Home again, home again, jiggity jig

May 22-28

More peonies. ;o)
Emmett's first game of the season.
Josh hands Marissa a driving manual and says, "Read this, we're going to go take the test for your learner's permit for a school permit."  She reads it, passes test and Josh lets her drive home from Osceola--first time driving EVER.  They made it safe and sound . . . (Josh and I might prepare for things a bit differently . . . ahem).
Both of my baseball boys--Shelby got new shirts this year.
 And a few more peonies . . .
Leaving on our grand 2016 adventure.
We rented a vehicle (see grand 2013 adventure if you want the reasoning behind this big expense in our vacation budget . . . sometimes you can't put a price on peace of mind). ;o)
Creation Museum in Kentucky (first stop on our adventure!).
Note the color coordinating I have going on for Memorial Day weekend.
Josh got quite a kick out of finding us in various modes of matching . . . what can I say?
I like to plan . . . ;o)

Happy 2nd August Daniel!

Things I want to remember about you right now:
You are full of energy and fairly strong-willed. You know what you want and how to make that need known.  It doesn't really matter that you are my sixth toddler.  Experience as a mother does not a reasonable toddler make. ;o) You LOVE cars and driving (hence the above present).  Seeing you in your very own car driving around Grandpa and Grandma's tennis court? Oh goodness--you were so proud!  You turned a bunch of cookies, beeped your horn, and whipped that steering wheel with surprising hand-over-hand coordination.  You opened the door and stepped out with a definite swagger.  I am not sure I have ever seen anything quite like it.  Trains, planes, automobiles all make up your top favorite things.  You like bugs.  You adore being outside.  You have figured out how to work all doorknobs and deadbolts and we have to be extra vigilant about making sure you don't escape.  You have taken an interest in drawing lately--"eyes" and "smiles" is what you claim your pictures are.  You love spaghetti, pizza, clementines, and pickles (you call them "picka-pickas").  You have a pretty good vocabulary and can say things like, "Mama, where cup go?" And "Daddy--please--choo-choos." (You were trying to coerce him into an episode of Chuggington).  You are not a fan of bedtime, but make up for it with good 3-4 hour naps.  We have to wrestle you into your carseat nearly every trip because you want to drive instead. You join in on the nightly singing of the lullaby, jumping in on the last word of each phrase and letting loose with an opera-styled bellow.  You sing happy birthday to yourself but it sounds more like "happy choo-choos."

All these things about you make up your little personality right now.  And man, do we adore you!  I am so thankful that the story God was writing for our family included you.  How dull life would be right now! ;o) I think you bring out the best in all of us.  Happy birthday my sweet little boy--how we love you, your tight squeezes and those dancing, galloping, happy feet. Our greatest hope and prayer for you always is that your grow to love Jesus with all your heart.  Happy day August boy.
