Intentional Autumn . . . A Nature Walk

Last week, under the recommendation of the girls' violin teacher we explored a new park in Kearney, Cotton Mill Park, and LOVED it! It is full of nature trails, a lake, picnic and play areas, and during the summer time, a nature barn.  I was so excited to find a place like this.

We enjoyed the fall sights, like lots and lots of woolly bear caterpillars--

Monarch butterflies fueling up for migration--

That special glow a setting autumn sun has--

Kids setting off down a new path--

And pausing for a large grasshopper laying eggs--
Good times. ;o)
And definitely my FAVORITE time of year to be out enjoying the creation with my family--you just never know what you're going to find!

We LOVE Cotton Mill too! You'll have to check out the swimming hole next summer! And the bike path that goes all the way to the Archway!?! So cool!

Oh my goodness, I LOVE these pictures! The butterfly and the golden trees are especially artistic. And what a blessing that you've found a new nature trail to explore! :)
